Frequently asked questions
Questions parents ask us most
If you have any other questions, do not hesitate to contact us.
Licensing & safety
Are your daycares licensed?
All our daycare facilities are fully licensed and inspected by Fraser Health. All staff members are fully qualified and have the required certificates, background checks, and training completed and up to date.
What is your ratio?
Our ratio is 1 staff member per 4 children.
What are your hours?
Our centres are open from 7:30am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday. Royal Avenue accommodates 9-hour time slots within that window.
Fees & subsidies
Are you part of the daycare fee reduction program?
All of our centres are currently enrolled in the program and our pricing already includes the discount.
What are the subsidies?
The main one is CCFRI (the Child Care Fee Reduction Initiative), which is automatically applied as long as the provider is enrolled. ACCB, the Affordable Child Care Benefit, is income-tested and applied for by you.
How are subsidies handled?
For CCFRI we already reduce the fee amount by the discount. For ACCB we can provide the form on request; once we know the amount covered and confirm the payments, we reduce your monthly amount by what is provided.
Why is there a fee for credit card payments?
Credit card payments through Parent incur a 3% charge. Given our tuition is regulated as part of our CCFRI enrolment agreement, we cannot absorb it, so we recommend alternate payment methods that do not incur this fee.
Food
Do you provide lunches?
We facilitate lunches and snacks by asking parents to bring 2 food items per month. At Royal Avenue we offer an optional catered snack and lunch program through LunchLady.
How does the meal plan work?
At Royal Avenue the LunchLady plan is $80 per month on top of tuition and covers snacks and lunch. It is optional.
Tours & applying
How do I schedule a tour?
Tours are scheduled when we have a spot available. Submit an application and, when a suitable spot opens, we will contact you to schedule a visit.
Is my spot guaranteed if I come for a tour?
A tour does not guarantee a spot. Once tours for an opening are complete, we will inform you of our decision.
Any advice for getting a spot faster?
Turnover usually happens in September. Set your start date to the earliest date you could realistically begin.
Waitlist
What's my spot on the waitlist? How long is my wait?
Many parents apply to multiple centres, so the number of people ahead of you is not an accurate prediction. We contact families when a matching spot becomes available.
